What do you do when you’re hit with the sweets craving and you don’t want to plow through the Samoas? You make these amazing cookies!
So super simple and chances are you have the ingredients on hand.
You’ll need: (I doubled the recipe)
– 2 ripe bananas
– 1 cup rolled, uncooked oats
– 1/4 c. chocolate chips
– 1/2 c. chopped nuts (I used hazelnuts)
Here’s what you do:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
First, mash bananas.
Next, add oats and chocolate chips (and nuts, if you are using them). At this point, I also added a nice sprinkle of sea salt to cut the sweetness.
Give it all a nice mixing.
Line cookie sheet with foil or parchment paper. Give it a spray of nonstick cooking spray.
Using a 1 T. measure, roll out cookie balls.
Place in oven, set the timer for 15 minutes and take picture of cute toddler drooling through the window.😍
Things things are so darned good. The kids didn’t know what hit ’em. You could experiment with different types of baking chips and nuts. I’ve even made them with unsweetened, shredded coconut before.
